Question:

Critically evaluate the extent to which Part IV of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) is fit for purpose in identifying and preventing anti-competitive conduct in the context of digital and globalised markets.

In your answer, you must: 

1. Analyse specific features of the current legal framework (e.g. misuse of market power, or cartel conduct); 
2. Identify limitations in addressing emerging challenges - for example algorithmic collusion, data- driven market power, or cross-border conduct; and 3.Propose clear, justified reforms that would improve the regime's capacity to promote competition and economic welfare into the future.
