Assignment 1 (Individual): Critical Review/Analysis (20%)  

i. Students are required to review an article related to business and legal records management. The article must be from journals or conference proceedings. (2012 – 2024). 
ii. Key elements that will be assessed are: 

• Explaining key concepts/ principles
• Main ideas and contribution of the article
• Display the main concepts/ ideas in mind mapping or sketch notes to show the relationship between ideas/ concepts/ principles/ factors etc  

iii.  Students also should show understanding by:- 

• Ability to summarise the article
• Ability to produce quality criticism
• Ability to provide useful suggestions
• Reference format (APA)

Your review should not exceed eight (8) pages, including references.

Assignment 2: Final Project – Case Study (Presentation) – 50% 

Four or five students in a group.  

Prepare a case study in a selected organisation (Public/Private) related to the process of managing business and legal records. The case study should cover an analysis (policies, procedures, manuals, guidelines, requirements) of the organisation. 

The main purpose of the case study is to evaluate the scenario of the organisation and to propose a business/ legal records management-related solution to improve the conditions under study. 

The proportions of the final project are as follows: 40% is the total weightage for the REPORT, while the remaining 10% is for the PRESENTATION.    

Format of the assignment 

This assignment constitutes 50% of the course assessment.
Your write-up of the report should be at least 20 pages, excluding references.   Reference format (APA). 
Be sure to edit the report carefully and check for plagiarism. Your work will be submitted to the Ouriginal software.
