Your report will key attributes of safeguarding a vulnerable individual and evaluate theoretical approaches and the legislative framework to the safeguarding process

Introduction:

Summarise the key considerations of the safeguarding required in the case study

Outline the structure of your assignment (a summary of its structure – and key issues covered).

Discussion (you can divide your discussion into sections for answering each of the questions below):

When discussing the vulnerability of the individual in the case study you should do the following:

  • Analyse the vulnerability of the person in the scenario, explaining the concept of vulnerability and how the situation in which the person finds themselves may be associated with their vulnerability.
  • Critically examine the key priorities in safeguarding individuals, making clear links to relevant safeguarding theories and principles.
  • Apply and critically evaluate the theoretical approaches to safeguarding, assessing their strengths and limitations in understanding the needs of this individual to explain safeguarding priorities.
  • Explain the safeguarding procedures which could protect the vulnerable individual and reduce the risk in this case study.
  • Clearly identify which legislation is relevant to your case study, explain why` these laws apply to the safety of the individual’s needs in your case study, and analyse how effectively the legislation protects the individual in this case study.
