HSC6098X Professional Issues in Critical Care Assignment

Description of the task: 

• The student should identify an area for improvement within the themes of the module  (MDT working, Rehabilitation, End-of-Life care or Professionalism and Leadership) to  develop a Quality Improvement Proposal within Critical Care. 
• The student should identify the evidence base for the justification of the Quality  Improvement and apply a systematic approach to planning, implementation and  evaluation. 
• The student should consider the impact of stakeholder perspective, leadership and  change management in Quality Improvement Development. 

Learning outcomes

1. The learner should demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of their chosen  theme (either multi-disciplinary working or end of-life care or rehabilitation or leadership and  professionalism) in the context of their Quality  Improvement Proposal to enhance care delivery  to critically ill adults.
2. The learner should contribute to the delivery of  optimal Critical Care, through exploring quality  improvement strategies, using critically analysed theory and evidence to make recommendations  for quality improvement
3. The learner should discuss their understanding  on the effectiveness of team working, leading a  team and the impact of change on the team and  wider organisation.
4. The learner should demonstrate the importance of Leadership skills in ensuring care in Critical  Care remains person and family centred.
