The 2 organizations hired you as an external Compensation Consultant. Each of the 2 organizations asked you as an external Compensation consultant, to design an effective compensation system that includes: a compensation philosophy, overall compensation strategy, compensation mix strategy, and compensation level strategy.

Using academic research, critical thinking and key concepts we discussed in this course:

  • Explain with critical thinking and examples all your decisions in designing and building an effective compensation system as requested by each of the 2 organizations.
  • Explain with critical thinking and examples how an effective compensation system can play an important yet different role in achieving the organizational goals of each of these 2 different organizations in 2 different industries. 
  • Explain with critical thinking and examples how an effective compensation system must be viewed in the context of the total reward system and why?

Assignment instructions:

  • This assignment is to be done individually.
  • Write a research paper starting with an introduction and ending with a conclusion.
  • Organise your paper with proper APA format.
  • No abstract or table of contents is necessary. 
  • Support your paper with academic research using at least 10 scholarly research sources, with one being the Tophat textbook. Please specify the citation of the book, not tophat!
  • The paper should be between 2,000 and 2,500 words (not including cover page and references)
  • Adhering as closely as possible to the word count target is part of the exercise, requiring you to be selective with the information you include and ensuring everything you include adds value.
  • Your research paper must be in paragraph format. Do NOT use questions and answers format or bullet points format.
  • Don't use AI to write your assignment. Including using translation applications or using Grammarly App (or similar Apps) to edit your assignment. These will all be captured by Turnitin as AI plagiarism. 
  • Only upload Microsoft Word filesto Brightspace. No other file types will be accepted or graded.
  • Submit your paper to the Turnitin drop box in Brightspace. 
  • ONLY ONE submission for each assignment.
  • Don't use Turnitin to test your similarity. No second submissions will be allowed.
