The purpose of this assignment is to:  

LO1: Explain server technologies and management services associated with hosting and managing websites. 

LO2: Categorise website technologies, tools and software used to develop websites.

Unit 13: Website Design & Development of Scenario:

The One Company is one of the leading creative web solutions and marketing company  in  MYANMAR.  You  work  as  a  junior  web  developer in  this company. The manager asked you to create an engaging report to help train junior staff members.

A  report  that  explains  the  different  server  technologies  and management services associated with hosting and managing websites, as well as the various website technologies, tools and software used to develop websites.

Assignment activity and guidance  Your report must include:

Unit 13 Task 1: 

Explain Server technologies and the management services associated with hosting and  managing websites (including  search engine optimisation) with the following details:

1. Identify the  purpose and  types of  DNS, including explanations on  how domain names are organised and managed (What is DNS, why do we use DNS? What are the types of DNS? What does each type do? What is  Domain Name? Explain How  domain names are organized and managed.)
2. Explain  the  purpose  and  relationships  between  Communication Protocols,  Server  Hardware,  Operating  Systems,  Web  Server Software, Common Web Development Technologies and Frameworks and Search Engine Optimisation with regards to designing, publishing and accessing a website.

Unit 13 Task 2:

A  review of different website technologies supported with the  tools and software used to develop websites (including the differences between online website creation tools and custom-built sites) with the following details: 

1. Discuss the  capabilities and relationships between front-end and back-end  website  technologies  and  explain  how  these  relate  to presentation and application layers.
2. Discuss the differences between online website creation tools and custom-built sites with regards to  design flexibility, performance, functionality, User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI).
