The introduction should include the essential background information to understand the context of the essay. It should also outline how the essay is organised, and the choice of organisation should be justified

The relevant past and present literature on organisational performance should be discussed with a critical approach. Consider how we identify an organisation is performing well. What does organisational “health”/performance look like, how does it manifest itself.

Discussion

The headings need to be devised as appropriate. Each section should have its own purpose and be organised around a key aspect of the description. Evidence and examples should be used to support your answer. What does organisational performance look like? What are the factors?

Discussion re role of business functions in the case organisation is expected with real examples, not hypothetical ones. Explain how the functions contribute to the organisation, how they support each other.

Discussion should be reflective.

Conclusion/summary

10%

Conclusions should refer back to the purpose of the essay, as stated in the introduction.

Follow the appropriate Essay Structure with subheadings, flow, presentation, and academic writing style

Referencing

Use of Harvard Referencing style. Application of academic sources and demonstration of applied critical thought.
