1. ASSIGNMENT OVERVIEW

This group assignment is designed to assess students’ understanding of investment concepts and their ability to apply fundamental analysis and technical analysis in evaluating a publicly listed company. Students are required to analyse the selected company’s financial performance, stock price behaviour, and overall investment potential.

2. OBJECTIVES OF THE ASSIGNMENT

The objectives of this assignment are to:

• Enhance students’ understanding of investment management principles
• Apply fundamental and technical analysis in real market situations
• Develop analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
• Improve teamwork and report writing skills

3. ASSIGNMENT REQUIREMENTS

Students are required to work in groups and select ONE (1) publicly listed company (preferably listed on Bursa Malaysia). The group must prepare a comprehensive investment analysis report covering the following sections:

A) Company Background

• Nature of business
• Industry overview
• Products and services
• Business strategy

B) Fundamental Analysis

• Profitability ratios
• Liquidity ratios
• Leverage ratios
• Market value ratios
• Analysis of financial performance over the selected period

C) Technical Analysis

• Stock price trends
• Support and resistance levels
• Chart patterns
• Indicators (if applicable)

D) Risk Analysis

• Business risk
• Financial risk
• Market and industry risk

E) Investment Recommendation

• Buy, Hold, or Sell recommendation
• Justification based on analysis
• Type of investor suitable for the investment

• Report must be typed and well-structured
• Font: Times New Roman / Arial
• Font size: 12
• Line spacing: 1.5
• Page numbers must be included
• Proper citations and references are required
