Assessment 2 Tasks  

Students will have a research topic and a list of citable academic literature from assessment 1.  

Individually, you will now create a research question by taking the research topic from Assessment 1 and adding additional keywords in the name of a major company, a country or a product. Students should ensure that they do not choose the same additional keyword as their teammates from their presentation groups. Students are allowed to choose a research question unrelated to assessment 1. 

This research question will then be used to formulate a machine-learning prompt. For example: "Write a 500-word essay on [any topic] of [supply chain OR  logistics] of [any global company, any type of product]. Provide real-world examples,  detailing how they have performed. Please provide citations." 

This answer will be pasted into the assessment workbook. Note that on its own this generated text scores no marks.  

The student essay will begin as a critique of the machine learning text. This will evolve into a complete answer to the chosen research question.  

You will be assessed on the following criteria:  

 The quality of your corrections of the LLM content and your critique of its citations.  

 Quality and relevance of your citations. Each citation should be made with a sentence explaining what you are drawing from that citation.  

 The relevance and value of the material you add (beyond what the LLM  has produced or touched on). 

 The insightfulness of your answer to the overall question and topic.

 The quality of your final recommendations and/or conclusion.
