DL837 PROJECT BRIEF/ ESSAY TITLE AND DETAILS:

This project examines students on core concepts studiedd on the Global Media Industries module.

Students must write 2 essays from the following headings:

1. Analyse the social, cultural and political impacts of the increased concentration of ownership and the gradual conglomeration of media in a globalised society.

2. What is the Political Economy approach to the study of the media? Utilising this theoretical perspective, analyse the political economy of the Disney company.

• Each essay must be 1500 words in length.

• Essays should be fully typed and spellchecked
• All essays should contain citations and references and a full bibliography.
• These citations and references should refer to academic/peer reviewed source material.
• You must engage with core readings or core texts.
