Assessment Summary

The purpose of this report is to summarise your team's final design, based on the design modification request by the client. It is also a chance for your team to reflect on your performance, and the design process, and identify what you would do differently if you had the opportunity again.

The report will be in the form of a professionally formatted Technical Report. The total length of the report should be approximately 15 - 20 pages of text, not including things like the cover page, table of contents, graphics and appendices. Please use Harvard Referencing style. A template will be provided on Moodle, however this is more of a guideline than a strict template.

You can re-use the content from your Design Proposal here. Just make sure to consider any feedback provided to you and adjust the content accordingly. 

The key technical content to be included is a system-level design of your proposed device, along with detailed descriptions of how sub-systems fit together and interact, and detailed designs of these sub-systems, where possible. 

Your report will include reflections on the design process for the modified design. Your report must include references, in the Harvard style. For information on this style, please consult the UNSW Library website. Consider using a reference manager, such as EndNote or Mendeley, to keep track of your sources. You can reference the design proposal in this document, particularly when highlighting changes from your previous design. 

A complete marking rubric will be available on Moodle. Also, please refer to the final report template available on Moodle. Please read the tips carefully in this document. In previous years, teams that have followed these guideless and the marking rubric have scored highly.
