DBT2202 & DBT2208 Project: Data-Driven Research for Business Decision-Making

Objective:

This project aims to integrate research methodology with data analytics, enabling students to develop a research report based on real-world business problems. Students will apply data analytics techniques to primary or secondary data, perform descriptive analysis, visualize insights using Power BI and use statistical models using excel or SPSS and present their findings through a poster presentation. The project encourages critical thinking, data-driven decision-making, and practical application of analytical models.

Instructions for Students:

1. Select a Research Topic:

• Choose a business-related topic that requires data-driven analysis.
• Ensure alignment with real-world business decision-making and challenges.

2. Data Collection & Preparation:

• Collect primary data (via surveys, interviews, or experiments) or secondary data (from government databases, company reports, etc.).
• Clean and prepare the dataset for analysis.

3. Data Analysis:

• Apply appropriate data analytics techniques to analyze trends, patterns, and relationships to understand the descriptive analysis
• Use Power BI to generate meaningful visualizations (charts, tables).
• Analyze different statistical model to test the hypothesis of the research problem.
