Public Health Poster Assignment: Historical and Organisational Analysis in a National Context

AC2.1 Learners must explain the historical context of public health and health promotion in their national context showing how historical development has led to current approaches to public health and health promotion. They should identify what has influenced developments, what has restricted it and how it has been impacted by the economic, social and political environment, for example, how some groups may have been disadvantaged over time. They may use an annotated timeline to explain the development.

AC2.2 Learners must analyse the organisation of public health functions in their chosen national context, identifying key organisations and their responsibilities in respect of public health and health promotion. They may use an hierarchical organisation diagram to show agencies and reporting lines with notes about their remit and responsibilities.
