In this assessment you need to demonstrate you meet the following module Learning Outcomes:

1. Understanding of the key principles and processes of professional communication.
2. Identify and apply various communication strategies for different types of business messages, including routine, positive, negative, and persuasive.
3. Develop and refine interpersonal communication skills, including listening, nonverbal communication, and business etiquette.
4. Manage and organise information efficiently for business writing and presentations.

This assessment tests your ability to design and deliver a business presentation. You are required to create slides with a professional appearance and supporting speaker notes.

Assessment Task

You are a Team Leader at an Amazon warehouse. Your role requires you to navigate several communication challenges, including:

• Holding team meetings to set targets, allocate tasks and give safety reminders
• Acting ethically when persuading team members to improve results, work together more effectively and adopt new processes and technologies
• Sending messages to congratulate staff on good performance, inform them of shift changes and communicate warehouse closures 
•  Proposing improvements about warehouse procedures, producing weekly performance reports and creating presentations for senior management

Your task is to create a professional communication guide for managers, containing the sections below:

1. The guide must identify typical challenges which the Team Leader may face, in the areas of Applying the Three-Step Writing Process and Communicating Persuasive Messages.
2. The guide should explain the verbal, nonverbal or written communication skills which are required to overcome the challenges, identified above.
