Assessment Brief 

Objective:

To demonstrate the practical application of central concepts, tools, frameworks, methods, or theories from the first four weeks of the Innovation Management course in promoting creativity and innovation within McPicasso Pictures, specifically for developing a new unique superhero character and its associated movie and TV show ideas, as well as other potential revenue streams. 

Scenario:

You have recently been hired as a trainee innovation specialist at McPicasso Pictures, a film production and distribution company. The company aims to create its own unique new superhero characterand develop movies and possibly TV shows around this character, along with other potential revenue streams such as costumes, toys, etc. You are to work closely with the project lead, Albert Brainsworth, a skeptical and pretentious smart man who does not believe in the value of innovation management tools and methods. He believes that innovation solely stems from the inherent creativity of a few gifted individuals. He is pessimistic about leading the project team towards creativity and innovation, feeling that if the team is already full of creative minds, there is nothing he should do. Conversely, if the team lacks creativity, he feels powerless to change them. Albert approaches you, the new trainee, and asks a little bit arrogantly, "Why don't you prepare a brief to show me what you have learned at the school. You must have learned about some magic there!" After this challenge, you recall your learning from BUSM4550 and decide to use those insights in your brief.

Task 

Your task is to prepare a report of approximately 1500 words (excluding references and appendices) demonstrating how specific central concepts, tools, frameworks, methods, or theories from each of the first four weeks of the course can be utilized to foster creativity and innovation within the project team. You need to pick onecentral concept, tool, framework, method, or theory from each week(Week 1, Week 2, Week 3, and Week 4) of the course content. Your goal is to convince Albert of the practical value of these approaches in generating creative and innovative outcomes for the new superhero project, involving scriptwriters, designers, animation experts, and other team members. The document should be written in a conversational tone, directly addressing Albert. 

You should explain how the proposed approach can be useful for creativity and innovation management within the project team and underline any limitations of the proposed approaches. If you have any examples such as sketches, samples, etc., include them as appendices to support your suggestions. The goal is to put the suggested central concept, tool, framework, method, or theory into a creative project context at a unique work setting like McPicasso Pictures.
