Learning Outcomes of BUS7E4: 

1. Explore and identify a suitable topic for research demonstrating a critical awareness on specific business issue/problem.
2. Critically analyse a body of academic and professional literature in relation to the identified specific business issue/problem.
3. Synthesise and critically apply systematic understanding and new insights based on business intelligence.
4. Propose relevant solution(s) through the application of frameworks, models and theories to address the business issue/problem.
5. Write final report and executive summary for presentation to senior managers.

Proposal Presentation Outline- Assignment Details

• Abstract: Summarize your proposal, research focus, context and contribution
• Project Rationale: Clearly define the business problem, Show its relevance and significance to the chosen sector and company. State the aim, two objectives and two research questions.
• Literature Review: Conceptualise 3-5 key terms of the study. Critically evaluate the literature on the topic engaging with key academic and professional sources. Highlight three relevant theories and one most applicable to the research.
• Justification/conclusion: Briefly explain why the study matters to business, industry
  and academia, summarise key takeaways.

Step 3: Critically identify a problem/Issue within your theme

• A clearly articulated business issue within the assigned theme.
• One research aims, two SMART objectives, and two research questions.
• A concise but critical review of relevant academic and professional literature.
• A strong justification for the study's value to business or policy.
• Accurate referencing using Wrexham Harvard style.
• Each student will then select one case study within the selected sector. The chosen company must allow for critical engagement with available company reports, business context, and sector-specific challenges
