Task

Your organisation has tasked you with designing a presentation highlighting key takeaways from a selected published article. You are required to write a report evaluating the use of visualisation in the article. Specifically, you are expected to:

1. Evaluate Visualisation Techniques: Apply the principles of data visualisation to critically assess the visualisation techniques used in your chosen article. 

2. Create an Improved Visualisation: Develop an improved version of ONE of the graphs or visuals presented in the chosen article. 

3. Explain Design Choices: Provide an in-depth explanation of your design choices, detailing why your version is more effective than the original graph in the article.

You have complete freedom in the complexity of the visual you choose to improve. Select any graph or visual from the article and interpret the story it aims to communicate. You may choose to tell any story you believe the visual is communicating. You may use any visualisation tool to create your graph. Your objective is to produce a visual that effectively conveys a story while adhering to the principles of good data visualisation. This project will demonstrate your ability to analyse and critique existing graphs and create simpler and more effective visualisations.
