Assignment Requirements
Overview:
This assessment will encourage the students to apply the leadership and change knowledge and skills from the module and will be submitted in the form of an essay.
BTM6LCH Assignment task/s to be completed:
The submission of a written essay that discusses two (2) leadership and two (2) change management theories, strategies and techniques and the impact of leadership approaches in managing and leading a change on followers, organisations and performance using a wide variety of research materials from the core reading list (4,000 words-10% - +10%).
This task will require you to include all the following:
1. Review two (2) leadership and two (2) change management theories.
2. Evaluate the impact of leadership theories, styles, and approaches in managing and leading change on:
- Followers
- Organisations
- Performance
3. Concluding section
Your essay needs to include the following:
1.Introductory paragraph (500 Words)- use one citation to define leadership and another to define change, outline the aim of the essay and outline what the rest of the essay will cover.
2.The main body paragraphs (3000 Words):
The main body of your essay should consist of several sections, totaling around 3000 words. These sections will be divided as follows:
Exploration and Comparative Analysis of Leadership Theories
- Overview of Leadership Theories:
- Identify and briefly describe two leadership theories that have been applied in various organisational contexts. Ensure you highlight their relevance to specific organisational challenges, such as managing innovation, fostering inclusivity, or driving digital transformation.

- Comparative Analysis of Two Leadership Theories:
- Conduct a detailed comparison of the two leadership theories from those identified above.

In-Depth Analysis of a Leader in the Tourism Sector
- Selection of a Tourism Leader:
