By the end of this module, students should be able to:
LO1: Completion of a Professional Development (PD) Portfolio incorporating an updated CV, a LinkedIn profile and reflective logging.
LO2: Familiarisation with professional self-profiling comprising skills, experience/qualifications, and knowledge.
LO3: Construction of a formative professional identity/personal brand.
LO4: Knowledge and understanding of the significance of professionalism and professional practice, incorporating reflective practice.
Using Microsoft Word, produce a PD (Professional Development) Portfolio. Excluding enclosures, your word limit is 2000 words (+/- 10%). The idea is for the portfolio to be visually pleasing as well as interesting (and useful to you) in terms of its content.
Following an introduction, the main body of the portfolio should showcase your employability assets. This encompasses leadership skills and customer service skills as well as all the elements listed in the Assessment 1 (Poster) brief. You must research your employability assets and include in the main section a plan for their development (presented as a table).
Your appendices (not included in the word count) might include A first version of your CV, your 16 Personalities (Myers-Briggs) profile, your LinkedIn profile, and a section presenting a possible career choice.
