Assessment 2: Entrepreneurial Mindset Log. A Reflective Report

Aim: This assessment is designed to help you achieve several key learning goals. Firstly, you'll gain an understanding of what it takes to be an entrepreneur and how to turn your business ideas into reality. Secondly, you'll learn how to present your business idea effectively through a compelling elevator pitch. Lastly, you'll discover how to validate your entrepreneurial concepts by using market data effectively.

Your Task: The assignment is about your personal experience with the techniques/methods/approaches or tools for the development of mindsets that are discussed in this module. You are asked to pick THREE EMI techniques/methods and monitor your experience during the semester as you use and apply the three EMI techniques yourself. Your submission should consist of:

• A detailed and well-supported description of the overall importance of mindset for entrepreneurial success in your view,
• A detailed discussion about your chosen set of techniques/methods and why you chose them,
• A well-documented reflection of your experiences/challenges observed whilst experimenting with your chosen EMI techniques/methods.
• Reflection on the completed Skills Assessment for Venture Building form (attached as Appendix 1) - state how things have changed for you.

Learning Outcomes of BAE_5_EMI 

On completion of this module, a student should be able to:

• Develop an understanding of entrepreneurial traits, understand the knowledge surrounding the dream creation, thus creating appropriate business enterprises;
• Articulate an effective elevator pitch to gain venture support and establish knowledge of business market presence.
• Validate innovative entrepreneurial ideas through the use of relevant market data
