AC6129 Assignment B

Create a dividend discount model for the company analysed in Assignment A.

The dividend discount model should have three parts:

• Short term: An estimate of the dividends based on analyst earnings estimates.
• Long Term: A terminal sustainable growth rate.
• Middle period: A transition between the short term to long term values.

Required

An excel spreadsheet with the model.

• The spreadsheet must be formatted and have links to allow changes in the assumptions.

A report on the model.

• Discussion of the inputs, assumption and output of the model.

Discussion

The discussion on the inputs must include the following

Cost of Equity

• How you got the market risk premium.
• How you are to obtained beta and explain your methodology

Constant Growth Rate

• Justify the value you calculate this

Short term estimates

• Where did these come from, how did you calculate the dividend payments

Assignment B: Instructions

The report is to be two pages only.

–This does not include a cover page, appendix or bibliography

• The discussion on market risk premium and constant growth range should contain references to academic literature and should be fully referenced in academic style.
• You must include a bibliography, (not included in the two-page limit) .
• The report must contain at least one figure and one table.
• The report must not contain more than two figures or two tables.
• You may include an appendix of not more than one page.

This should include:

–Formulae
–Data sources

• Use the coversheet provided in canvas
• All tables and figures should be titled and numbered.
• All tables and graphs to be created, not cut and paste.
• All figures to be calculated from raw data, not cut and paste.
• All formulae to be numbered.
