A rapidly expanding medium sized organization is considering incorporating people analytics to inform their HR management. They operate in materials technology sector and develop metals for use in the aerospace, defence and automotive sectors, as well as for electronic and medical devices. They have around 100 employees, mostly engineers (computational, experimental, materials, mechanical and software) and process optimisation consultants. They offer customised solutions for their clients’ most demanding metal component challenges.
They asked you to present a business case for engaging in HR analytics. Employ evidence – based approach to critically discuss the notion that HR analytics is beneficial to organisations.
