Description of the assignment, task, content and structure:

Scenario - You work have just started a new job as an organisational change director.

The company is going through a period of change and development. The management team had contracted a consultancy to assist with managing the change and development. The consultancy had been working for 6 months but the management team are unhappy with progress and have cancelled the contract. You have joined the company and will take over the project. Your objective is to write a report that:

  • Critically reviews the consultant’s approach to managing the change. You will be provided with the consultants’ report. You should identify strengths and weaknesses. Your assessment must be supported by citing high quality sources.
  • Synthesise the information to create a clear articulation of the objective of the change and development project as you see it.
  • Create an action plan that will improve the likelihood of a successful change. Support your plan by citing high quality sources. Consider and limitations and risks.

You will be provided the consultants’ report and additional information about the organisation and the change/organisational development project.
