7194MAA Assignment Task

This assessment aims to make good on the previous work submitted for the experimental analysis report and gain experience in automotive model wind tunnel test data analysis. Please note this document is intended for Coverty University Group students for their own use in completing their assessed work for this module. It must not be passed to third parties or posted on any website that this is an individual submission, and you will need to use the feedback that was given to you in the previous attempt (that you failed) to improve on the outcome of the analysis. If you have deferred the main attempt, please regard this as the first attempt to address the assessment requirements.

The data that is provided to you is from the Aston Martin DBRS9 model (Figure 1), a simplified 13% scale automotive model. The model was tested with different wheel designs and open/closed cooling apertures. The students will work with the same data set from the previous wind tunnel tests and will need to use the data previously collected in the test (made available to you on Aula) to address the requirements of this brief.

If you need a refresher on the setup of the wind tunnel test, please feel free to go to ECL-29 and discuss it with the development officer responsible for the wind tunnel facility.

The outcome of this assignment will be a report that describes the aerodynamic considerations associated with experimental analysis. The results from the tests will be presented in a formal report, and the difference between the results will be discussed.
