Your Task

The focus of this assessment is to monitor and evaluate the implementation of your human resource (HR) plan developed in Assessments 1 and 2.

The strategic plan that you obtained for Assessments 1 and 2 is also to be used for Assessment 3, so that you can build on the work you have already completed.

Assessment 3 also asks you to prepare a written response on international challenges facing strategic human resource management (HRM).

You should include examples from the strategic plan for your organisation as appropriate to support your answers along with further research of your own on your chosen company.

You may make assumptions about your selected organisation as long as they are clearly explained and reasonable

Task 1: Monitoring And Evaluating The Implementation Of The HR Strategies

a. Recommend two (2) established methods that your organisation could use to monitor the implementation of the HR strategies you have developed in Assessments 1 and 2.

In your answer ensure you discuss:

• the suitability of each monitoring method
• any contingencies and assumptions your organisation should be aware of in each method
• any planning and adjustments needed at appropriate milestones in the monitoring.

b. Discuss how you would evaluate the implementation of your HR strategies. Your answer should include:

• the purpose and main forms of evaluation that could be applied
• a detailed discussion of two (2) challenges that could be encountered as a result of an evaluation and how they could be overcome.

Task 2: Challenges Facing Strategic Human Resource Management

Outline three (3) current or future domestic or international challenges and discusses their influence on strategic HR management for your chosen organisation.

Ensure your answer explains why the current or future HR challenges outlined should be considered in future strategic HR planning, and include examples from your chosen organisation’s strategic plan.

Presentation

Marks will also be awarded for presentation of the assessment. This includes:

• appropriate structure including spelling, grammar, sentence structure, academic language, overall presentation and clarity for a Level 7 course (5 marks)

• inclusion of a list of references in correct APA referencing style, including course readings and at least five scholarly sources (in addition to course material and readings) in support of concepts and theories discussed. (5 marks)
