520HSC Assignment Task

Assignment 2 – Produce a 2500-word research proposal in an area of interest from the field of health and social care. The proposal should be built up on your research diary, demonstrating academic writing skills and appropriate referencing style.

In your research proposal you should

• Select an appropriate research topic and justify your choice, including by identifying a gap in currently available research evidence. (LO3). 
•  Identify and justify research methods appropriate for your proposed research project. (LO1)
• Identify ethical challenges and decisions you might encounter when conducting your proposed research and evaluate the various ways in which these might be managed. (LO2)

520HSC Submission Instructions:

There should be a title page which clearly identifies the following:

• Name and code of the module
• Title of the assessment
• Assessment number
• Word count

The word count identified includes quotations and citations. However, it does exclude the list of references and/or bibliography and, unless specifically stated, encompasses a discrepancy of + or – 10%.
There will be a penalty of a deduction of 10% of the mark (after internal moderation) for work exceeding the word limit by 10% or more.
