This assignment assesses Course Learning Objectives (CLOs) 1 and 3.

(1) Apply key concepts in warehousing and distribution channels management to generate appropriate approaches in the formulation of warehouse management strategy and distribution channel management strategy.

(3) Demonstrate appropriate leadership, and leverage group resources to critically analyse real- world challenges in the operations of warehouses and distribution channels and develop solutions to those real-world challenges.

This assignment will evaluate the following:

• Ability to recognise main and support warehouse processes. 
• Ability to analyse main warehouse processes to resolve potential challenges and apply findings to generate creative solutions. 
• Ability to complete the above time-dependent tasks and articulate your analysis and recommendations/opinions professionally in a succinct report.

About the case The warehouse manages the storage and order fulfillment of detergents. Visit thiswebsite to familiarise on the product range and characteristics of the packaging). The warehouse replenishes stock to various supermarkets e.g. FairPrice, Cold Storage or Sheng Shiong in Singapore.

As the layout presented below shows, there various types of storage in the warehouse to manage stock packed in carton and pallet loads. As such, there are also various materials handling equipment, namely, pallet jacks, powered pallet jacks and electric counterbalance forklift trucks. This warehouse does not perform order fulfillment for online sales.
