PTSD is the biological term for “post-traumatic stress disorder”. It has been defined as “overreactive” and “inappropriate” memories of trauma that have resulted from prolonged suppressed stress or memory impairments. A “working memory deficit” is a condition in which an individual affected with brain injury or trauma, or any genetic disorder like “Down Syndrome” has a weak working memory. As per the opinion of Chai et al., (2018) the concept of working memory has been reported to be introduced in schools 50 years ago. Thus Intervention-induced improvements have shown some cognitive flexibility which positively correlated with the clinical improvements. This report highlights the causes of PTSD among adolescents and adults respectively. The impact of PTSD on the working mind has been critically analyzed and evaluated based on secondary research collected from peer-reviewed journals.
