Introduction: The movie, Hidden Figures (2016), depicts very advanced and scientific changes in the USA that too in the 1960s. Along with that, it has covered social life issues of that period and the issues of differences between two different people Africans and Americans. This movie revolves around the lives of three women: Taraji P. Henson as Katherine Johnson, Janelle Monáe as Mary Jackson, and Octavia Spencer as Dorothy Vaughan, They are three mathematicians who work at NASA. They are three African Americans who led the project in the NASA spaceship launch. 

Summary of the movie: This movie comes in the Drama/History genre. Which is a real incident-based movie. It depicts the condition of African Americans in the USA community and the issues they have faced. These include problems such as racism and gender imbalance. It shows the historical perspective of the Jim Crow rule, which created the separation mindset — requiring some buildings and facility spaces to be separated to make sure that races were kept apart. These issues are faced by Mary Jackson in the movie as a result of taking a course in physics at the graduate level. 

Key elements of the movie: 

In the film, there are some scenes of racial discrimination where there are separate toilets for white people and tanned or dark-colored people. Furthermore, the film depicts

In, one of the scenes in the film there is the depiction that Katherine Johnson (played by Taraji P. Henson), who is an expert in computing and at explaining information to the board, yet she gets sidelined and ignored from being among the men by Paul Stanford, a lead engineer on the project. Rather, she is forced to hand over her presentation files to men, as opposed to making the presentation herself. However, with changes and acceptance, Katherine is finally allowed to present, especially with the support of Al Harrison.

The movie also shows the cruciality and the impact that those three women played in carving consecutive occasions at NASA, and the society. Through power and determination.
