VISN2111 Submission Requirements

The exam will be an invigilated, digital exam on the platform Inspera. Students need to bring a laptop with a safe exam browser downloaded onto the device to the exam. Students will have 90 minutes to complete and submit the test.

VISN2111 Aligned Course Learning Outcomes

  • CLO1 Identify the key structures/tissues of the human eye and the surrounding tissues.
  • CLO2 Identify the main physiological processes involved in the normal working of the human eye. 
  • CLO3 Analyse the relationships between the main eye structures and their functions, and how these are critical for normal vision.
  • CLO4 Identify how eye tissues and related structures can differ between normal and disease states.
  • CLO5 Understand basic clinical in vivo imaging as applied to the eye, surrounding tissues and visual system.
  • CLO6 Develop skills in teamwork, finding and analysing information, and writing and presenting information.

Assessment Task Description

Rationale 

  • To consolidate learning on Weeks 1-4 (anterior eye) and Weeks 5 - 9 (posterior eye), and identify gaps in knowledge before the final exam

Task description 

  • Short answer and multiple choice questions
  • Limited open book - students may bring physical notes to the exam. Notes may be personal, written or typed course notes, printed course material (e.g. lecture slides, tutorial notes) or textbook excerpts. Students may bring a maximum of five A4 pages of notes (may be double-sided), which will be checked by exam invigilators.
