TPS3703 QUESTION 1: School placement 

1.1. As part of this assignment, you are required to attach a letter from the teaching practice office confirming your placement in the school of your choice where you will do your teaching practice. All TPS3703 students are required to complete their teaching practice in a high school and teach one major subject in the FET phase (Grades 10- 12). Attaching the confirmation letter of placement from the teaching practice will account for 10% of the total mark for this assignment. No assignment will be marked without the confirmation of placement.

TPS3703 QUESTION 2: Technology integration in education

Technology integration is perceived as a deliberate, conscious, and regular application of technological tools by teachers to enhance teaching and learning. Technology integration occurs when student teachers identify different technological tools and integrate them in their lessons during teaching practice. During their studies, student teachers are exposed to technology hardware and software including computers, laptops, interactive whiteboards, email, and Learning Management Systems that they can use to enhance content delivery during teaching practice. Teaching practice creates a platform for student teachers to showcase their ability to integrate technology in the real classroom with the assistance of their mentor teachers. This view suggests that during teaching practice, student teachers should attempt to integrate different technological tools. This will not only allow them to transform their pedagogical practices, but also help them to enhance their technological knowledge.

2.1.Based on the extract above, write a 12-15 pages essay indicating how you will integrate different technological tools and platforms to enhance the pedagogy when you get a chance to teach during teaching practice. In your essay, cover the following:

2.2.According to the extract above, student teachers need to develop Technological Knowledge (TK) in addition to the Content Knowledge (CK) and Pedagogical Knowledge (PK) during the course of their studies for them to integrate technology effectively. As a student teacher, evaluate your level of Technological Knowledge (TK) and how it will assist you to identify and integrate specific technological tools and platforms that are relevant to your field of specialisation.
