Students need to complete the placement action plan based on the agreement between the lecturer, the placement host and the student with regards to structure, tasks and objectives of the placement. A template for that plan is provided on the LearnJCU site. Students need to submit the plan within a week of starting their placement.

Objective: The purpose of this assessment is to provide you with an opportunity to reflect on your internship/placement/project experience, evaluate your learning outcomes, and identify the skills and knowledge you have gained during this period.
Structure of the assessment
1. Introduction: Begin by providing a brief introduction to your internship experience. Include details such as the organization you interned with, your role or responsibilities, the duration of the internship, and any other relevant contextual information (no more than half a page).
2. Achievements and Challenges: Identify and discuss the key achievements and challenges you encountered during your internship. Reflect on specific projects, tasks, or responsibilities that you completed, as well as any obstacles you faced and how you overcame them.
3. Skills Development: Evaluate the skills you have gained or enhanced because of your internship. This may include technical skills related to your field of study, as well as transferable skills such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and time management.
4. Professional Growth: Reflect on how your internship experience has contributed to your professional growth and career development. Consider any insights you have gained into your chosen field, as well as the networking opportunities, mentorship, or industry exposure you have received.
