SITXMPR014 Introduction

Welcome to the Student Assessment Tasks for SITXMPR014 Develop and implement marketing strategies. These tasks have been designed to help you demonstrate the skills and knowledge that you have learnt during your course. Please ensure that you read the instructions provided with these tasks carefully. You should also follow the advice provided in the Hospitality Works Student User Guide. The Student User Guide provides important information for you relating to completing assessment successfully.

SITXMPR014 Assessment for this unit

For you to be assessed as competent, you must successfully complete four assessment tasks:

  • Assessment Task 1: Knowledge Questions – You must answer all questions correctly.
  • Assessment Task 2: Marketing Plan Project – You are required to research and develop a marketing for a case study hotel.
  • Assessment Task 3: Implement Marketing Plan – You are required to perform several activities as set out in the Marketing Plan.
  • Assessment Task 4: Marketing Activities Evaluation – You are required to review and evaluate the success of their Marketing Plan and implementation activities

Activities 

Complete the following activities.

Carefully read the following information.

The Marketing Plan has been approved by the owners and you are required to begin implementing some of the marketing activities. 

The activities that have been given the highest priority, and should be performed immediately, are:

  • Contacting several local designers to get quotes for developing the hotel’s new design concept.
  • Opening a Facebook stage for the new hotel 
  • Opening a Titter account for the new hotel.What do I need to demonstrate?During your practical assessments you will be required to demonstrate a range of the skills and knowledge that you have developed during your course. These include:
  • Implement and monitor marketing activities.
  • Implement and monitor activities detailed in plan according to schedule and contingencies.
  • Produce marketing reports according to organisational policy.
  • Share information on marketing activities with operational staff to maintain awareness of current organisational focus.

You will need to complete each activity and submit the required task at the end of each step completed.
