This assignment is worth 30% of the final mark for NCO101 Living with Community.
The cut-off date for this assignment is:
1. Each group is required to upload a single report via their respective seminar group site in Canvas. A group leader will be assigned. The responsibility of the group leader is to upload the report on behalf of the group.
2. Please include a cover page that indicates clearly the Course Code, Assignment, Submission Date and the full names and SUSS PI number of all group members (see below):
3. After the cover page, the submission will be arranged as such:
a. Written Report
b. Infographic
c. References
d. Individual Neighbourhood Worksheets
4. It is the group’s collective responsibility to ensure all source materials, regardless of their medium, are acknowledged clearly and adhere to the correct formatting and style guidelines. Any use of AI must be acknowledged clearly, with a clear explanation of how generated outputs are used. Failure to do so may be interpreted as academic cheating and penalties could be imposed.
In groups of three (minimum) to five (maximum), compile a report for the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) that best represents the group’s collective position on the significant characteristics of community engagement in building inclusive and sustainable communities.
The GBA has the following components:
a) Examine, Identify, and Discuss. Produce a 1,200 word Written Report [40 marks] that presents a summary of the following:
b) Develop an Infographic [30 marks]
that explains the group’s collective position on the significance of community engagement, i.e. the identified characteristics from 1a) that best support inclusive and sustainable communities. The infographic must be presented in a one-page infographic, A4-size, minimum font size 12.
c) Mechanics [20 marks].
The Written Report and Infographic will also be assessed for originality, clarity, coherence, accessibility, e.g. use of relevant and appropriate use of language, graphics, etc., and related matters.
d) GBA Deliverables [10 marks].
This component’s purpose is to assist learners to keep pace with the requirements of the GBA. The group will post on the designated Canvas T-Group Discussion Board threads the following:
