MBB7010M Assignment 002 Description

Students should prepare and submit their posters (one page either using word, PDF or Powerpoint) about their Capstone Projects (dissertation or business consultancy report) to the Moodle page submission area. Name your file in the following

format: Student Name - Student ID – MBB7010M Assignment 2.

Your poster should visually represent tasks 1, 2 and 3 listed below. Try to draw out the key information in an accessible way in your poster rather than put too much on the single page.

During the poster presentation students will need to:

1. Explain the aims of the research (whether it was a dissertation or business consultancy report)
2. Identify key findings and outline your conclusions
3. Discuss and reflect on the following questions

• What have you learnt from the experience of undertaking a research project?
• How will you apply the skills you have developed during the project to future work or educational activities?
• How will you apply the skills you have developed during the project to future work or educational activities?
• If you could do the project again, what would you do differently and why?

Students will also be required to answer questions from the assessor and conference audience at the end of the presentation.

A good reference list is essential in achieving a good mark. The list should only contain references that are directly cited within the text. 2.Presentation

There are marks available for presentation. When considering this the marker will look at the use of language, the overall structure and coherence of the document and the referencing. A consistent use of font size and spacing is essential. References must be used as required by the appropriate referencing convention and spelling and grammatical errors should not be present in the final document. With some care these are easy marks to add to your overall score.

How is this assessment marked?

Your work will be marked according to the assessment instructions provided within this document and the selected Learning Outcomes’ (LOs) (see above).

Furthermore, this assessment is marked using the assessment marking criteria or a similar rubric that aligns with the University’s Generic Assessment Descriptors (see below).1 This is to ensure all assessment decisions are comparable regardless of the discipline or mode of assessment.

Please note that you must meet the required baseline standards (50 – 59%) which will include the LOs and minimum expectations of the assessment. Further still, you must ensure you meet the requirements of each grade boundary to progress to the next, i.e., you should demonstrate your learning through the standards of the Pass, Merit and Distinction to reach a Distinction (70 – 84%).
