In this assignment, you will develop an essay in response to the following brief:
You should prepare a 3500-word essay in Microsoft Word. The essay should critically discuss theories that seek to explain host nation contexts and should further include case study examples to illustrate and support your evaluation. For example, the essay could demonstrate how a European-based organisation, with sites across different nation states, develops a global business strategy which accommodates the requirements of each nation and its environmental context whilst still achieving the business mission.
The 3500-word essay is an opportunity for you to demonstrate critical thinking skills and a comprehensive understanding of the theories, ideas and real-world examples discussed during lectures and seminars.
The essay should develop a clear, logical structure and academically supported argument with an introduction and a summary conclusion of key points.
It is imperative to read widely to ensure your knowledge and understanding are deep and comprehensive. Significantly, you must demonstrate engagement with the module, where the course reading list is an important starting point. There is an expectation that your assignment will reflect a range of resources and articles referenced during each week of the module.
Reference list – A comprehensive list of resources utilised within the report (not included in the word count).
