What is required?

• An oral presentation. A copy of your presentation slides should be submitted as either PowerPoint (.pptx) or PDF.

Learning outcomes to be assessed:

• Demonstrate deep knowledge and systematic understanding of project-specific theory, techniques, tools and applications as informed by research and practice at the forefront of the discipline, through critical review of current literature.
• Translate and communicate complex ideas for the benefit of non-technical audiences.
  Set goals (demonstrated by initiating, planning and undertaking a large project) and identify resources for lifelong learning inspired by the engagement with the project domain

Masters Project: Dissertation

Assignment Brief:

Using the work and outcomes of your project, produce a presentation, summarising the main motivations for your work and focusing on your contributions.

You should:

• Focus on the most significant aspects of the project.
• Define the problem addressed.
• Explain its significance.
• Describe how the problem was addressed.
• Report back on the results.
• Highlight the conclusions.

A MS PowerPoint template and example have been provided on the Brightspace module page. You are strongly encouraged to use them to help you structure your presentation, although you should adapt it to the needs of your own project.

The presentation will be delivered primarily to University of Suffolk staff, but the audience might also include fellow students and other interested parties. Students should expect to speak no more than 20 minutes, followed by questions from the audience for up to 10 minutes. Note that the time limit is strict, and the chair will interrupt you when you have reached 20 minutes. You will not be allowed to continue presenting beyond 20 minutes.
