IMC512 GROUP ASSIGNMENT (20%): INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEO 

ASSIGNMENT OVERVIEW

This group assignment is designed to enhance students' research, collaboration, and digital communication skills through the creation of an instructional video. The video should effectively demonstrate knowledge, skills, and communication strategies related to Digital Literacywhile engaging an audience of peers.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

By completing this assignment, students will: 

  • Develop research and presentation skills. 
  • Enhance digital content creation abilities. 
  • Work collaboratively to communicate complex ideas in an engaging format. 
  • Practice ethical sourcing and attribution of multimedia content.

IMC512 ASSIGNMENT SCOPE AND GOALS 

Each group will consist of four (4) members and will research a topic related to Digital Literacy. The findings must be presented in an instructional video with a minimum length of three (3) minutes. The primary objectives are to communicate clear and accurate information in an engaging and accessible manner for an academic audience.

  • If using external content, ensure that all materials (images, videos, music, sound effects, etc.) fall under a Creative Commons license and are properly cited. 

5. Expert Interview (If Relevant)

  • If applicable, include an interview with an expert in the field. 
  • Interviews may be conducted in person, via video conferencing, phone, or email. 
  • Obtain the interviewee's permission before recording. 
  • Be professional, courteous, and respectful of the interviewee's time. 6. Video Release Forms (If Relevant) 
  • Any identifiable individuals featured in the video (e.g., interviewees, actors, narrators) must sign a Video Release Form. 
  • The completed release forms must be submitted alongside the video link
