The objective of the assignment is to connect educational leadership practices with selected case studies and research, examine teachers' perceptions of the school principal's leadership qualities through in-depth interviews with two senior assistant teachers, and engage actively in online class discussions on the given topic.

PART 1: JOURNAL ARTICLE REVIEW (20%)

(2020), as a reference to conduct an in-depth interview (online or face-to-face) with 2 (TWO) senior assistant teachers who have been teaching for more than five years at any school/institution to address the following research objective/research question:

To examine the teachers' perceptions of the school principal's leadership qualities.

What are the teachers' perceptions of the school principal's leadership qualities?

In your report, you need to include the following elements.

  1. The profile of the participants. Write in detail the profile of these two participants to be written descriptively (NOT in table form).

PART 3: ONLINE CLASS PARTICIPATION (10%)

This part requires students to participate actively in the myINSPIRE eforum. Discuss the following topics in the forum and submit proof of your participation with your tutor and peers in the eforum online discussions:

  1. Discuss the differences between transformational leadership and transactional leadership styles.
  2. Discuss how the Goal-Setting Theory theory can be used to motivate teachers in schools.
  3. Explain how school leaders can build trust and collaboration among teachers and staff.
  4. Discuss the role of ethical leadership in managing challenges within a school setting.
  5. How can instructional leadership improve teaching quality and student leaming outcomes?
