Assignment 3 -Multimedia Group Project Presentation

Assignment Objective

Demonstrate higher processing skills in the areas of synthesis and evaluation through an analysis of the current development of Digital Health technology.

Assignment Overview

You will work in your HEA10004 learning teams to produce creative and engaging multimedia slides that summarise a case or technology related to Digital Health or Digital Healthcare. These slides will be used as a basis for your group project assignment. You will be required to obtain footage of a scene from a webpage, TV show, documentary, or other relevant media and identify the digital health case or digital health technology featured in your chosen scene. Using the footage, you will summarise the initial motivation/rationale and development of the selected digital health case or digital health technology and conduct a thorough SWOT analysis of the chosen digital health case/technology based on the knowledge obtained in this unit in a manner that a lay audience (12-18-year-old students) can understand. During the week 12 tutorial, your group will be required to deliver a live presentation based on the slides you submit for your project assignment. You may be audio recorded during the presentation for marking purposes. 

This task will assess aspects of the following Unit Learning Outcomes:

  • Describe key components of the digital health ecosystem and technology landscape
  • Use technology to prepare and collate submissions of key learnings around the role and impact of digital health.
  • Analyse evidence for a digitally enabled health system and defend a stance for its role and impact.
  • Critically reflect and report on how health technology impacts personal health behaviours, supported by different sources of evidence.

Format Guidelines: 

  • Presentation time: 10 minutes per group (± 10%), including the sourced footage, which should be a maximum of 20 seconds
  • All team members are required to be a part of the presentation and have a speaking role.
  • Each presentation slide must be clearly labelled with the name(s) of the contributing student(s).
  • File electronic submission on Canvas with the following file name: GroupNumber_SWOT_A3
  • One submission per group.
  • File size should not exceed 500 MB. 
  • Each submission must be accompanied by the Swinburne Cover Sheet as a separate file.
  • A reference list should be included in the credits/closing slides of your presentation. In-text citations should be included in each of the presentation slides.
  • A reference list as well as in-text citations should also be included in the script.
  • Referencing style: APA 7th Edition Referencing Style and/or a URL link (if applicable). 

You must include the following completed tasks in your project: 

  • Select a Digital Health Case or a Digital Health Technology from a scene from a public webpage, in a television show, or in online media.
  • Provide a summary of the initial motivation/rationale and overall development of the selected Digital Health Technology/Case.
  • Offer a comprehensive SWOT analysis of the Digital Health Case/Technology, including the long-term consequences (e.g., social and economic) in a manner that a lay audience (12-18-year-old students) can understand. 

The SWOT analysis includes: 

Strengths: Identify and analyse the positive aspects and advantages of the technology. 
Weaknesses: Identify and analyse any limitations, challenges, or drawbacks associated with the technology. 
Opportunities: Explore potential opportunities for improvement or expansion of the technology. 
Threats: Identify external factors or challenges that may pose a threat to the technology's success. 

The work you submit will be evaluated based on the following criteria: 

  • The level of detail provided in discussing the introduction and rationale of the selected Digital Health technology/case. (weighting 12%)
  • The depth of discussion of SWOT analysis. (weighting 52%) 
  • Evidence and sources used to support your arguments. (weighting 6%) 
  • The overall structure and organisation of your work. (weighting 7.5%) 
  • The quality of your presentation in terms of clarity, engagement and time management. (weighting 7.5%) 
  • Participation and engagement in tutorials. (weighting 5%) 
  • Meaningful contribution to the group assignment (weighting 10%)
