This assessment will be submitted as a PowerPoint presentation of 2 slides.

1. Formative assessment – weekly reflection using PebblePad (total of 4 – approx. 200 words each)

Using the Driscoll Model of Reflection, consider your own experiences of leadership and critically reflect on your current approach, skills, attributes, etc., and what you need to develop for the future. Your reflection should demonstrate engagement with the theories and models covered each week. This section will not be graded, but it is expected to be complete and can be viewed by the marker as supporting evidence.  At least one entry should be a video recording.

2. Poster – slide 1

Use an appropriate design, background, and graphics to create a poster that expresses the results of your reflection, including the underpinning theory and the Driscoll Model.  (Please note that you do not need to explain the Driscoll Model, but you should demonstrate how you have used it.)  The poster should be a visual representation of your reflective analysis.  It should include what style of leader you are, or do you aspire to be, and what skills and traits you have, and what you want to develop. This poster will be created on one PowerPoint slide.

3. Reference List – slide 2

This list should be created on the second PowerPoint slide.  It must follow Harvard referencing conventions and engage with sources that have been provided and evidence of independent research.

Module Aims:

1. To examine theory and practice in the specific fields of leadership and interpersonal management, focusing on the evaluation of intercultural leadership styles and personal development from a variety of organisational and professional perspectives.

2. To develop students’ personal and interpersonal enterprise skills and ‘protean’ career mindset by helping to discover and map their own unique identities (i.e., who they are, and who they want to be), with a sense of values, personal ethics, and self-directedness for the 21st century (workplace).

Module learning outcomes: By the end of the module, students should be able:

1. To systematically examine and critically evaluate different perspectives and frameworks for understanding effective leadership behaviour in cross-cultural settings.

2. To demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of theories, concepts, and models of modern leadership in the international context.

3. To demonstrate self-direction and originality in demonstrating the capacity to analyse and personally reflect on their own management and employability potential, and to exercise decision-making and independent learning abilities required for continuing professional development and life-long learning.
