EB47210– Task 2: Lesson plan and rationale

The task

Design a lesson plan which could be used with a level and type of class you are teaching or have taught. The lesson must use some type of literature as material. 

You must also write a lesson rationale showing 

1. Why you have chosen literature with your particular teaching context
2. why the piece has been chosen for this particular class (consider level, context/interests etc)
3. your choice of approach / lesson shape
4. your choice of tasks at each stage of the lesson

 The rationale must be supported by reading.  

Demonstrate an understanding of the issues that we have covered in this module and show an understanding of how they fit together.  In order to make this easier, you may want to ensure that your lesson plan includes at least one task of each of the areas that we have covered.

The lesson plan itself is not included in the word count. 

Submit this as one document via Blackboard and include a signed coversheet (available from Blackboard).
