- This collection must demonstrate a clear and in-depth knowledge of the theoretical and practical skills associated with effective team leadership.
- To complete sections 3 and 5, you must refer to the Team Building event that your team was assigned to deliver to your class:
oSee attached instructions.
- Evidence must be typed up using Ms Word. Include your name in the title of this document
- All sourced information must be referenced correctly.
- On completion, you must upload your own assignment to Teams.

1) Explore the elements and stages of team development to include:
- Present 3 definitions of Team (with references), choose the one you prefer and explain why? Give examples of team types in your vocational area
- Describe the characteristics of an effective team and both the strengths and weaknesses of the team in your own experience
- Identify the stages of team development referring to a theorist (eg Tuckman)
- Explore the varied roles played by team members referring to one theorist (eg Belbin)- Identify your own role in a team (Include snapshot of Online Team Role Test)
2) Analyse leadership and management concepts, styles, and underpinning theories:
- Explain the following leadership theories
- Trait theory
- Contingency or situational school
- Choose your preferred definition of Management and explain why you’ve chosen it.
- Distinguish three key differences between leadership and management.
- Explore the results of your leadership style questionnaire in terms of how you are most likely to deal with a staff member who is consistently late.
- Which leadership style would you like to incorporate more of? Why? and what would you need to do differently to embrace that style
3) Clear understanding of organisation strategy, objectives, and goals
- Outline the purpose of an organisational strategy
- Outline the purpose and function of organisational goals
- Examine the need for objectives and policies within your vocational area
- Discuss what contributes to successful and unsuccessful management within your vocational area

- You are expected to comply with all coursework deadlines. You will submit all coursework digitally using either Microsoft Teams or email as agreed with your teacher.
