BUSA6004 Question 1 - Research Question (10 Marks)

b) What is a Moving Average Forecast? (2 Marks)
c) Use your table to calculate the 3-period Moving Average Forecast for June 2025. (2 Marks) d) What is Single (Simple) Exponential Smoothing? (2 Marks)
e) Use your table to calculate the forecast for June 2025 using Single (Simple) Exponential Smoothing where alpha = 0.5. (3 Marks)

BUSA6004 Question 2 - Hypothiesis Testing (10 MARKS)

We would like to test whether students spend $60 a month on their phone bill.
Conduct an appropriate hypothesis test. Outline all your steps, and calculations. What is the conclusion of your test and why?

BUSA6004 Question 3 - Regression (10 Marks) 

The data in the Excel fileis for Salesacross various stores that charge a different Priceand spend a differentamount on Advertising. All stores belong to the same chain (brand) of stores across Australia and sell the same product. 

Construct a Regression Model based on the data provided and provide a screenshot of your results. Explain your coefficients, comment on the statistical significance of your regression results, and comment on the overall model. 

Additionally, you are to research how to create a Bubble Chart and construct an appropriate Bubble Chart that represents all of the data. 

BUSA6004 Question 4 - Industry Guests (10 Marks) 

In the Industry Guest lecture in Week 8 - we had a panel of 5 guests who were using data in their field of work. Pick 2 of these guests for the purpose of this question. 

The lecture is available in Echo for you to review. 

For each of the 2 guests you have chosen: 

• What is their name, current job title, and the organisation that they currently work for? 
• Hyperlink their name to their LinkedIn profile. 
• Outline how you would use any statistical / data analytics test, tool, or technique that you have learnt in this unit across the semester, in their field of work (150-250 words). 

You must be clear about what you have chosen will be applied to help each individual fulfil their objectives in their field of work. You are free to be creative as well. 

Note: you cannot repeat any statistical / data analytics test, tool, or technique across guests - your chosen items must be different. Each item you choose must also be from a different week of this unit's content.
