BTEC (RQF) Unit 3: Vocational Scenario or Context

Cradley Cakes, is a new start-up company selling made to order be spoke cakes nationally in the UK, catering for special occasions such as weddings,birthdays and other seasonal and sporting events. They have been trading since 2023 and now embarking to use social media to market and promote their products.

Cradley Cakes has approached the college as they understand learners study a unit on social media in business. Following on from the presentation you have been asked to plan and implement the use of social media for their business.

BTEC Unit 3: Task 1

Working to support Cradley Cakes, you need to:

  1. Identify the business aims and how it wants to use social media to meet the organisational aims.
  2. Produce a plan to use social media in a business, annotated to justify the planning choices that have been made. The plan should identify a target audience and a keyword strategy. It should include a posting schedule with timescales identifed.
  3. Provide evidence that you have reviewed the plan with the business owner (a peer or family member) and improved the plan based on the feedback you have been given.
  4. Produce a written evaluation of both the plan you create andits implementation against the requirements that the business has.
  5. Produce optimised content for posting on social media whichfollows the plan you have developed, annotated to show howconsideration of the target audience.
  6. Review data that has been collected from social media sitesabout the postings that have been made, explaining which posts have created the most interaction.
