Unit 9: BTEC Assignment Brief

Submission Format:

The submission is in the form of an individual report. The line spacing is 1.5, font is Times New Roman, font size is 12 and 1.5 spacing. You are required to make use of headings, paragraphs and subsections as appropriate, and all work must be supported with research and referenced using the Harvard referencing system. Please also provide a bibliography using the Harvard referencing system. Plagiarism will lead to the failure of the assignment. The recommended word limit is 7000 words, although you will not be penalised for exceeding the total word limit. You must submit a soft-copy before the deadline and late submission will not be accepted.

Scenario:

Entrepreneurship plays a critical role in economic growth, innovation and job creation. Entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) contribute significantly to local, national and international economies. In addition, many organisations now encourage intrapreneurship to foster innovation within existing public and corporate organisations.

As a Business Analyst in VIETNAM, you are required to examine entrepreneurial ventures, entrepreneurial mindset, the economic impact of SMEs, and the role of intrapreneurship. Your analysis must be supported by real-world examples, relevant data, and academic sources.

Assignment Brief and Guidance:

You are assigned by the company to prepare the report, which should include:

• Introduction
• Entrepreneurial Ventures and Entrepreneurial Traits (LO1)

You should explore different types of entrepreneurial ventures (e.g. SMEs, social enterprises, start-ups, lifestyle businesses) and link them to entrepreneurial traits such as risk-taking, innovation, resilience and opportunity recognition.
