BSP5071 PRES1 Business In Action S2 Assessment Brief 2024-25

Assessment 1: (PRES1) “POSTER” 

PRES1 involves the design of an academic poster that presents your contextual understanding of the business challenge of an organisation, which will be presented to you during the module.  You are required to produce a poster (using Microsoft PowerPoint) to creatively present your understanding of the business challenge in context.  Additionally, you are required to provide a voiceover lasting no longer than 3 minutes to highlight and discuss key components of your poster.  Producing an effective presentation is a key skill required of managers and leaders.  A well-designed poster should be focused, aesthetic, engaging and informative. Guidance on creating/designing/recording will be provided during lectures, and Cardiff Metropolitan University’s Academic Skills department guides effective presentations and visual aids, and this can be accessed by following the link below: Training Resources (cardiffmet.ac.uk).

Task 

1. You must produce a POSTER incorporating an accompanying 3-minute voiceover. You need only to submit a single PowerPoint file, which will include your poster and a 3-minute voice-over recording.
2. You must choose one of the organisations that are supporting the module. 
3. The poster must include the contextual information relevant to the organisation you are focusing on and understanding the business challenge.
4. The poster must include tools or/and techniques that you have applied to understand the underlying issues of the business challenge.
5. More guidance on structure and content will be provided during the semester.
