Task 1: Group Presentation 

This is a group presentation. Your tutor will allocate you into groups, typically 3 – 5 members in each group. Each group will prepare a deck of PowerPoint slides and deliver an oral presentation.

  • The oral presentation will be 10 minutes (+-10%) for each group, with 8 – 12 PowerPoint slides (excluding the cover page, content table, reference list, appendices if any, and any other slides that do not contain the main content of the presentation)
  • Broadly, each group member is expected to make a relatively equal contribution to making the PowerPoint slides and the presentation
  • Grading will be based on group performance and individual performance (See marking rubric for details)
  • There will be viva at the end of the 10-minute presentation. The lecturer(s) will ask each group member questions.

The questions could include but are not limited to
- each group member’s contribution to the group work
- content covered in the group work
- further exploration of business management concepts and/or analysis based on the content covered
- methods and sources of research
- reflection on the quality of the PowerPoint slides, the presentation and the dynamics of teamwork
