BAE_5_REB The Assignment Task(s)

This assignment was developed to meet the LO’s 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6. 

  1. Identify key ethical issues facing contemporary business.
  2. Analyse the implications of business decisions on society.
  3. Analyse the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and sustainability strategies and actions.
  4. Describe primary ethical theories such as utilitarianism, Kantian, and virtue ethics.
  5. Explain the importance of effective corporate governance, ethical theories to a specific dilemma in business.
  6. Demonstrate skills of research, analysis, and written / oral communication.

Individual Assignment, 3500 words in length (not including tables, figures, references, appendixes)

Students will select an industry of their choice and analyse their sector in terms of their global industry structure and concentration and are required to include but are not limited to details such as:

greenhouse gas emissions (GHG); the technological environment; the regulatory and policy environment; emissions reporting and carbon disclosure of firms. 

After this analysis, students will then demonstrate how a business operating in this industry could make responsible business choices going forward. 

The analysis (coursework) with a professional format will cover the following format and respective sections:

  • ANALYSIS

PRESENTATION

  • Work must be referenced, and a bibliography provided.
  • Work must be submitted as a Word document (.doc/.docx).
  • Coursework must be submitted using Arial font size 12 with 1.5 line spacing.
  • The student number must appear at the front of the coursework. The student’s name must not be on your coursework.

  • Work is logically structured and coherent throughout.
