Assignment Title | Reflection |
Academic Year | 2025 |
This assignment is an individual assignment.
The word count for this assessment is 2000 words
This assignment requires you to write a piece of reflective writing on your learning journey concerning this module. You need to choose to use an academic model of self-reflection to consider what you have learnt about yourself about the themes covered in the module.
The reflection should cover each of the following four themes as drawn from the learning outcomes (LO1, LO3, LO4, LO5)
a)Academic research, writing & referencing skills
b)The role of HRM and how it is integrated into the business organisation and contributes to organisational success
c)The basic principles and theories of organisational behaviour
d)The impact of issues related to Managing organisations: politics, power, change, conflict, technology
The reflection should detail your learning experience from any activity covered/concept learnt from each of the individual themes outlined above, and use any academic model of self-reflection. For example, using Rolfe's 2001 reflective model:
a. What (Descriptive) - Provide a description and self-awareness of all questions that start with the word 'what' (..did I learn?..was I trying to achieve? actions did I take?...was good or bad about the experience? feelings did it invoke?)
b. So what (Theoretical)- This is the level of analysis and evaluation when we look deeper at what was behind the experience.'So what' (...what does literature say? does it
imply/teach/tell me about my learning/attitudes?...could I have done to improve it?...is my new understanding?)
c. Now what (Action oriented) This is the level of synthesis: we build on the previous levels to enable us to enable us to consider alternative courses of action and choose what we are going to do next. ' Now what' (.....do I need to do to make things better or improve?...might be the consequences of changing something?).
Use relevant sources and literature to support your reflection.

You can request a meeting with your Module Leader or Personal Tutor to discuss your feedback in more detail.
Marks will have been internally moderated only, and will therefore be provisional; your mark will be formally agreed later in the year once the external examiner has completed their review. More information on assessment and feedback can be found here.

Buy Today, Contact UsReferencing is the process of acknowledging other people's work when you have used it in your assignment or research. It allows the reader to locate your source material as quickly and easily as possible so that they can read these sources themselves and verify the validity of your arguments. Referencing provides the link between what you write and the evidence on which it is based.
You identify the sources that you have used by citing them in the text of your assignment (called citations or in-text citations) and referencing them at the end of your assignment (called the reference list or end-text citations). The reference list only includes the sources cited in your text. The main referencing guide can be found here and includes information on the basics of referencing and achieving good academic practice. It also has tabs for the specific referencing styles depending on whether you require the Harvard style used in business or the OSCOLA style used by the Law school.
